RBI retains FY23 inflation aim, vouches to keep 'Arjuna's eye' as print may stay above 4% over next 12 months

Over the next 12 months, inflation is expected to remain higher than 4%, Shaktikanta Das said. The central bank now sees inflation for Q3 at 6.6% and Q4 at 5.9%. In September policy, the central bank had forecast inflation at 6.4% for Q3 and 5.8% for Q4. It had forecast inflation at 7.1% for Q2. ​​The inflation targeting law mandates the RBI to keep inflation at 4% with a tolerance band of 2-6%.
