The Confederation of Indian Industry's Business Confidence Index showed that two-thirds of the respondents believed that sales and new orders rose faster in the second quarter of the ongoing financial year compared with the previous quarter, whereas more than half expected capacity utilisation to average 75-100% - five percentage points higher than the previous quarter.

One of the major IFRS 17 challenges is that it’s disrupting business as usual for insurers. According to a WTW IRS 17 survey, there are major post-implementation challenges that insurers still need to overcome after reporting their half-year 2023 results under IFRS 17 for the first time. The survey was conducted during June to August 2023, having collected responses from 235 insurers, including 25 large multinationals from different regions including Asia Pacific.

Reliance General Insurance Company (RGIC) has received multiple show cause notices from the Directorate General of GST Intelligence, amounting to Rs 922.58 crore. The notices are for GST demands on revenue generated from services like re-insurance and co-insurance. The company's auditors will have to provide for this amount as a contingent liability in its quarterly results.
